(22.05.2009) On the 6th of May we were invited by Hamar Red Cross to hold a presentation about human trafficking in Nepal and projects on Børstad middle school in Hamar.
According to the information by the school administration, they raise money every year to support the projects in different countries where there is need for it. We and the youth leader of our district, prepared our trip to Hamar. We were on the school with two youth and one representative of Hedmark Red Cross.

One of two youth delegates from Nepal, Vishwa, is selling a student in the group.
We started the program with an auction by which we where happy to see the attention of the 300 students at the same time. We borrowed some students from the group and “sold” them in the same group. It was quite interesting for them because it made them a little bit more clear about what human trafficking is. After the auction we had a short introduction about our self and our work.

Concentrated youths on the presentation.
A presentation about human trafficking in Nepal was another curious thing for them. It was quite a new topic for the students, so everyone where listening to us carefully. We mostly focused on the running Anti-Human Trafficking projects by Nepal Red Cross and their different attempts to save young girls from trafficking. Finally we ended the program with a video made by the Norwegian Red Cross Youth about Anti-Human Trafficking Projects supported by Norwegian Red Cross.

Sharing experience and tokens of love with Hamar Red Cross.
After the presentation, the teachers and the representatives of the Red Cross came to us and told us that the program was very informative and interesting. It is our pleasure to hear from them. We also visited Hedmark RC office with the leader of Hamar Red Cross Youth and met the staff of RC in office. We got warm hospitality in the Hamer Red Cross and shared our experience.
As a whole; the journey became very successful for us; it is our pleasure that small effort of students can save the many innocent girls life from trafficking, since, they are collecting money for the Red Cross anti human trafficking project in Nepal.
