Can I be Cinderella?

Again and again I am struck by how some of the least fortunate children in Armenia live. Walking into the grey and cold dormitor I feel a bit ashamed that I have complained about the temprature in our apartment. Even though we have two ovens in the Smiley Club room it is still cold. But the children come anyway.

Smiley Club- what is it, and why is it important?

If you take a close look at the recent history of the Armenians, you will see that they have had their fair share of difficulties. Among other factors, the economic crisis due to the fall of the Soviet Union, a big earth quake and war with Azerbaijan made life hard for many people.

Armenian Red Cross Youth have recently initiated English debates for youth in Yerevan. The aim is to improve their English skills, and to share opinions about love, relationships, work and war.

Wake up-concert for aids

Armenian Red Cross Youth arranged an aids-concert 10th of October in Yerevan. – We did it because the public needs to wake up, says Mrs Katarina Vardanyan, head of the Youth department.
