(08.06.2009) People ask me all the time, have you hiked up to the seven mountains of Bergen? I always say I will be hiking up to the sevens mountains when I find the opportunity. A couple of weeks ago I finally found it.
I heard from my friends in Bergen Red Cross Youth that in Bergen on the 24th of May, it is a day for hiking the 4 or 7 mountains every year in Bergen, and many people are participating. After that I got the web page for the hiking from my friend Ørjan Andrés, he is an active member in many activities with the Bergen Red Cross Youth.

The people walking on the mountain.
On the 24th of May, in the morning, in the first I didn’t know what I should do? But I saw the people, they walked to the start of the 7 mountains in Gravdal. It is near my home in Laksevåg, about 20 minutes away by walking. I started from my home to in Gravdal.
In Gravdal, I asked the police man: - How can I get involved? He told me I could buy a ticket. I bought the ticket, then I got a start card, and I started to walk at 7:50 Am. I walked with the people. We point-checked in the top of every Mountain, and put a mark on the start card.
When I was hiking on the Rundemanen Mountain, I met a man who greeted me. Is this your first time hiking? he asked. I said yes .He said he had done it 24 times. Then I said: - Oh my God. I need at least 24 years to do this 24 times. He smiled.

I got a diploma and a t-shirt for hiking the seven mountain-trip.
The trip ended at 19:40 PM in Bergen city center. I got a diploma and a T-shirt from Bergen turlag for completing the 7mountains-hike. A lot of people participated in the trek.
It was a long trip, almost 12 hours, but a very fun one. I feel very happy because now I feel that I have the answer for everyone. When they ask me again; have you hiked up to the seven mountains of Bergen I will say: - Yes, I have.
