(27.03.2009) On the 16th of march, the active choice group in Bergen Red Cross youth paid a visit to Rothaugen School. Our objective was to hold a presentation about sexual transmitted diseases, and how to use a condom.
The Supervisor of the students divided the students into two groups. The First group consisted of 12 students and the second of 13. They where of both male and female, and between the age of 13 and14 years. Each of the 2 groups held a presentation for two hours.

Susanne Aas, the leader of the active choice group, gave an explaination for the students.
The first group held a presentation about sexual transmitted diseases. Susanne distributed some paper, which contained answers to questions about the subject. This was to determine the extent of their knowledge of these diseases. Finally the group demonstrated how to put on a condom.
After the training, they distributed condoms to the students so they could protect themselves from sexual transmitted diseases.

Trude explains how to use condoms.
I was very impressed with one of the students from the second group. He had bad eyesight and did not see well or he never saw anything at all. Still, he answered all the questions in the group and he put the condoms on the model correctly.
The supervisor organized the action of these students, and it was very well done. The time was four hours at this school, but it went quickly because every student participated in the presentation.
