I don’t have hiv, so can you help me?

-If you are hiv-positive, people will not offer you assistance. They think of it as a waste of resources. The perception is that the person is going to die anyhow. If people know the sick person is hiv-negative, it is a lot easier to receive help, tells one of the youth volunteers from Siaya Red Cross.

No more pointing fingers

Kisumu Red Cross Youth in Kenya started the year 2005 with a new approach. - We will never again tell people what to do and what not to do. No! We want them to make their own informed and active choices, says one of the volunteers full of enthusiasm.

Hiv/aids - Sweets in exchange of sex?

Youth from Kisumu Red Cross Branch are visiting a primary school in an area where several young girls recently have become pregnant. The volunteers are there to educate the girls about hiv/aids and how to avoid sexual attention from older males.
